Chalet Snowflake, Montchavin – A Charming Alpine Escape in La Plagne

Tucked away in Montchavin, one of the most picturesque villages within the La Plagne ski area, Chalet Snowflake offers a truly authentic alpine experience. This modern chalet has been thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly with its traditional cobbled surroundings, capturing the charm of this scenic mountain village.

A long-standing favourite among returning families and groups, the chalet is spread across four levels and enjoys breathtaking views across the pistes, the village, and the stunning Tarentaise Valley stretching towards Mont Blanc. Just 100 metres from the nearest ski lift, accessing both La Plagne and Les Arcs ski areas is effortless — you’ll be on the slopes almost as quickly as you can clip into your skis! Intermediate and advanced skiers can often ski right back to the door for most of the season.

The ground floor features two comfortable en-suite twin bedrooms. Head upstairs to the main living space where you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge with an open fireplace, and a welcoming dining area. Large glass doors open onto a balcony with sweeping piste views, which are also shared by the private outdoor hot tub and barrel sauna in the upper garden — the perfect spot to relax with a drink as the mountains blush pink at sunset.

The next floor up includes a spacious quad room with two separate twin beds (divided by a shared bathroom), ideal for families, plus an additional en-suite twin. At the top of the chalet, there’s a generous family room that sleeps four to five with single beds. All twin beds throughout the chalet can be easily configured as doubles to suit couples.

Quad (can be twins pushed together). Ensuite bathroom with shower, handbasin and WC. An additional single bed can be added to sleep 5.

Parking: Covered parking is available on a first come first served basis to be booked in advance (2 spaces available – please let us know by email you would like to reserve parking) and there is street parking on the main road surrounding the village.
